Clayton Medicine Traveller Obituary

Clayton Berle Medicine Traveller, Miistaki’sahkomaapii (mountain boy) born March 17, 1976, of the Siksika Nation, passed away quietly surrounded by family on November 8, 2025. Clayton was very charismatic and had a contagious laugh. He was kind and humble. He enjoyed the company of his friends and family and lit up the room with comedy and laughter. Clayton was a very smart man; he excelled and graduated from Strathmore High School in 1996 and received a Red Seal Journeyman ticket in Carpentry from SAIT Polytechnic in 2006. He also received the Residential Building Safety Codes Officer Certificate in 2017. As a child, Clayton enjoyed boxing and went to Minnesota for a tournament. Most of his late childhood to teenage years played for the Gleichen Gunners and the Siksika Sharks Minor Hockey League. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing pool, and he was involved in tournaments with his family. He was a natural competitor. He enjoyed playing crib and 10,000. He loved to be his own individual and didn’t mind what others thought. He always went against the grain and did his own…with you or alone. He was a mathematician and enjoyed eating meat. He was a good storyteller and most often would make people laugh with his one-liners. He always liked to argue to make a point. He enjoyed dressing up to impress. Clayton enjoyed major league sports. He was a devoted Flames fan and enjoyed watching the Blue Jays.
