It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chris-Ann Wright. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, Chris-Ann Wright (Inakotaan-Young Daughter) loving mother of two children passed away at age 29 years. Chris-Ann was born on December 5, 1990, at Calgary and received her education in Calgary and was a gifted and talented like her grandfather who was well known Blackfoot artist. She met her boyfriend Lance and they raised two beautiful sons, Dion and Angelo. Chris-Ann had many special qualities. She was involved in reconnecting with her traditional ways attending spiritual ceremonies and loved camping at powwow celebrations every summer with her family and meeting other family and friends. She was known for her quick wit and sense of humour when she got together with family and friends, and her kind and love for her family. Chris-Ann was predeceased by the father of her children and the love of her life Lance Jerace, her grandparents Aloysius and Frances Many Bears and Russel Sr. and Julia Wright, her aunties Francine Medicine Shield, Doreen Wright, uncles; Morris Many Bears Dicky Wright, Robert Wright, and Michael Wright, Arnold Wright; her cousin’s; Karen (Mouse) Wright and Brandon Medicine Shield, Alexis White, Dustin McMaster, Baby Ted Wright. She is survived by her two beautiful children Dion and Angelo, her parents Alanna Many Bears and Russell Wright Jr., and her brother Russel Wright III, her aunt’s and uncles; Georgette Medicine Shield and Eldred Hornberger, , James and Crystal Many Bears, Tyler and Krista White, Charlene Good Eagle, Jack Rowe, Doreen Jerry (Oliver), George Wright, Mario and Karen Water Chief, Pinky Wright, Ted Ayoungman and Lucille Wright, Karen Wright, and Bryan Wright, Colleen (Thurman) Little Light and numerous great aunt's, uncle's, cousins, nieces, and nephew’s, and extended families from Siksika Nation and from the Treaty 7 First Nation communities. The family would like to apologize to anyone we may have missed. A special thank you to Rockyview General Hospital ICU Staff for the loving care that was given to Chris-Ann.
