Bryon Trent Wolfchild

The family of Byron Trent Wolf Child of Siksika Nation announces with great sorrow his passing on December 11, 2022 at the age of 35 years old.

Trent leaves to mourn his mother, Nadine WC (Rhonda Caufield), Aunties Leah Anne WC, Faye WC, Great uncles: Robert WC and Clarence (Jackie) WC, Frank Three Suns, Alvin Three Suns, Stanford Three Suns parents: Clara & (late) John Hardy, mom Lenny Wolf Child, dad Jason Calf Robe, siblings: Triny Backfat, Ruth Yellowfly, Trevor Backfat, John (Nicole) Hardy, Katie (Dustin) Gossfeld, Kim (Tim) Low Horn, Renette (Daryl) Calf Robe, Wyatt Calf Robe, Drake Calf Robe, Lain Calf Robe. Trent will always be remembered by his Crow family: Grandmother Janice GetsDown His Grandpa Bill Lincoln, siblings Nicole Door, Ashley, Olivia Reyna, Roy Justus Caufield, Winston Reyna, Grandmothers: Martha, Mable, and Grandpa’s Joey Pretty on Top, uncle Timothy Jarvis, Jobo Blain, Warren Gets Down, Claude, Lwellyn, Robert Pretty on Top, Aunties: Patsy, Verna, Malinda Dawes, Roanna, Willena, Jeanette Jarvis, Amberlee Blain. Trent also leaves to mourn his special friend Mary Bighetty.

Trent was predeceased by his father Micheal Three Suns, maternal grandparent Duke McMaster and Violet WolfChild, Maternal great grandparents Ed Wolf Child SR.& Clara (Cutter), aunties Adline Wolf Child, Emma Big Tobacco, Leona Wolf Child, uncles George Wolf Child, Glen Wolf Child, Victor Wolf Child, Ivan McMaster, paternal grandparents Pius and Margaret Three Suns, uncle Buck Shot Wolf Child and aunties Holly & Freda Wolf Child.

Trent was raised in Crow Agency and went to grade school at Pretty Eagle School and Hardin High School. He returned to Canada where he went to Siksika Nation High School. After he completed High School he moved to Calgary, but he’d always make sure he was in contact with his parents. When he’d come home we always had to prepare his favorite dish loaded nachos and cheese. The last message we received was an “I love you mom”. He will be missed by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Trent comes from the Eagle Rib Clan, Wolf Childs, Two Horns, Leathers (Solways), Cutters (Big Snake), Yellow Fly, Black Rabbits, Stevens, Pretty Young Man, Calf, Low Horn, Spring Chiefs, Spotted Eagles, Tailfeathers, Running Rabbits, McMasters, GetsDown, Dawes, Caufield, Pretty on top. The family apologizes if we have missed anyone.

A one-day service will begin with a viewing from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm at Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour with a feast to follow as Byron leaves for Montana.
