Brittany Scalplock

Scalplock, Brittany was born May 30, 1994 in Calgary, Alberta. She was called home to be with Jesus on February 20, 2021. Brittany was a devoted mother to her two daughters. Brittany was quiet in nature and was a close friend to all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her kindness, humility and humour, but most of all her tremendous love for her girls, siblings and parents. 

Brittany is survived by her precious daughters Jayvel Winter Rose Duck Chief, Kayzley Dawn and her Special Friend Kingsley Drunken Chief- Cameron. Her Mother Theresa Leather (Jason Solway) and her Father Sheldon Scalplock. Her Sisters, Melissa Dixon (Buddie), Amanda Scalplock (Calvert Sr), Lori Leather (Chris), Cheyanne Hunter and Jamie Kipp.  Brothers Christopher Leather (Shaniell), Sheldon Scalplock Jr. (Tia), Dustin (Kerri) Hunter, Benji Hunter, Wyatt Pickens. Her Grandparents, Veronica and Wayne Fox, Ruth and Francis Melting Tallow, Mariam Scalplock (Wolfe), Nieces and Nephews Shelby, Easton, Kobe, Arianne, Tianna, Tia, Khloe, Calvert Jr., Cyler, Tristain, Scarlett, Iinii, Laren, Markus and Anthony. Brittany is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles Georgina Solway, Clement Leather, Joe and Evangeline Leather, Jeanette Leather, Gerald and Debbie Leather, Bernice Leather, Alex and Lori Scalplock, Laura Scalplock, Kenny Wolfe, Tina Smallboy (Wolfe), Tanya Sleigh, Monique Sleigh, Chris Eagle Rib.

Brittany was predeceased by Maternal grandparents George and Laura Leather, Florine Sleigh and Paternal grandfather Alex Scalplock Sr, Uncles Aaron Scalplock Sr, Charlie Leather, Melvin (Sonny) Solway and Jayvel’s Father Jason Duckchief.  Brittany leaves behind her family of Scalplock, Leather, Solway, Medicine Shield, Good Eagles, Bear Hats, McMaster, Wolfchild, Crowchild, Manywounds, Sleighs and Running Rabbits. 

Family Wake Service will be held at the residence of Theresa Leather and Jason Solway on February 28, 2021.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions Funeral service will by invitation only on March 1, 2021 at 1 pm. Extended family are welcome to attend service outside of church.
