Blaide Peter Scalplock

On December 16, 2024, our son, brother, brother-inlaw, nephew, grandson, and best friend made his journey to be with our creator and his mother Candace whom he missed dearly. Blaide was very outgoing and made friends wherever he went and was adopted by many families in Siksika who cared for him as their own son. Blaide graduated from the Siksika Outreach School on June 21, 2023, he was also a talented skateboarder and enjoyed gaming online with his friends. Blaide also wrote messages in his journal, as a teen he often played with his hacky sack on the pow-wow trail with his friends. He also enjoyed dancing to his favorite music. He loved all his siblings and had a deep bond with his little brother Georgi; their favorite activities were skateboarding in the city on weekends. Blaide was humble, kind, humorous, and very outspoken, and he was very charming with the girls. Blaide was a hard worker and he was also very creative and great at organizing any space. He cherished his dad Alex Scalplock and his sister Elexaray Scalplock and brother inlaw Christian Rabbit Carrier; they all took care of Blaide and treated him like a baby. Blaide had many adopted brothers who protected him when he was out socializing with friends. He also loved spending time with his late grandma Verona Medicine Shield-Fox: they both loved smoking cigarettes and visiting on the balcony at her house.

Blaide is survived by his parents Alex and Lori Scalplock. His siblings Brett Green, Elexaray (Christian) Scalplock, Ricci Wright, Josee (Erin) Wright, Jaide Scalplock, Alex Scalplock 3, Georgi Scalplock, and baby sister Tiariah Scalplock. Adopted brothers Mickos Deschamps, Chris Chief Calf, and Ben Spring Chief Jr. Nephew Maxton McMaster, and Nieces Candace Scalplock-Courchene, Jewel, and Brielle Solway. He is also survived by his fur baby nephews (cats) Leo and Simba, who gave him comfort at night. Blaide is also survived by his Step-Grandfathers Wayne Fox and George Wright. Blaide's surviving uncles are Sheldon (Jacqui) Scalplock, Sidney Hunter, Harley Whitstone, Peter Trottier Jr. Wayne Mcgilvery, Conrad Whitstone, Barkley Whitstone. Blaide's surviving Aunts are Laura (Toni) Fantini, Tina Wolf, Suzanne Cross, Margaret Mcgilvery, Bernice Mcgilvery, Nancy Trottier, Eileen Mcgilvery and Audrey Whitstone. He is also survived by close cousins Amanda Scalplock, Corry-Ann Whitstone and numerous cousins from both sides of his family.

Blaides is predeceased by his mother Candace Whitstone. Grandparents Alex Scalplock Sr. and Verona Medicine Shield - Fox, Peter Trottier Sr., and Ruby Whitstone and his step Grandmother Doreen Wright. He is also predeceased by his uncles Aaron and Lennon (Scalplock) Medicine Shield, Rickey Whitstone. Blaide is predeceased by his aunts Linda Saddle Back, Diane Trottier, June Mcgilvery, and Karen Wright. Blaide is also predeceased by his close cousin Britany Scalplock, and lost many close friends along his journey. We apologize if we have missed some family and friends of our dear Blaide Scalplock.
