Alona Alpha Bear Hat

Alona Alpha Bear Hat of Siksika Nation suddenly passed away June 20th 2020 at the age of 49 years old. She was born on October 18th 1970 in Calgary AB.  She is survived by her loving partner Chad Poor Eagle. Her children Treston Bear Hat, Tessa Bear Hat (Franklin), Ty Bear Hat, Tray Bear Hat, Traylen Bear Hat (Victor). Grandchildren Tayla, Teegan & Traylona.   Siblings Richie Bear Hat (Dora), Leon Bear Hat, Deatrice Black Horse (Grant), Glen, Rhonda & Shelly Starlight (Bruce Dixon). She also leaves behind her uncles Patrick Bear Hat & Ricky Bear Hat (Marion), Rick Lightning (Inez), Aunties Ramona Low Horn, Alona Theoret (Bernie), Ina Maguire, Joyce Royal, Sharron McMaster, Judy Royal, Colleen Schublin & Dorian Dunne-Eldridge. Grandmother Annie Royal. Also numerous cousins, family from across the U.S and also her special friends. Also survived by all of her Nieces & Nephews.    

Alona was known for her sense of humour and kindness. She enjoyed cutting hair, loved music and singing. She will be missed by those who got to know her well.  She was predeceased by her parents Sunny Royal, Rhoda Bear Hat, Eleanor Starlight. Her son Troy Jr. Bear Hat, her sister Deborah Bear Hat. Uncles Floyd Royal, Daryl Royal, Eric Bear Hat, Larry Low Horn. Aunties Dolly Creighton, Liberty Bear Hat, Leona Royal. Grandparents Pat & Alfreda Bear Hat, Moses Maguire. 

Wake services will be held at the Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbour on July 2nd 2020. Funeral will be held at the same location July 3rd 2020 at 1 PM. Apologies if we missed any family. No reception to follow funeral.
