Alfred Fox Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear father, brother, uncle and grandpa Alfred Joseph Fox also known as Tubby to numerous people at the age of 71 years old. Born on September 9, 1948 and passed away December 13, 2019. He leaves to mourn his passing, his daughter Lisa Bears Paw and traditionally adopted daughter Kendralynn (Dennis) First Rider, step-children Linda (William), Jennifer (Allan), step grand children Donovan, Kendrick (Marjory), Clayton, Keith (Rhonda), Krista. numerous step grand children & great grand children. His siblings Joyce, Regina (Leroy), JoAnne (Mike), Fabian, Derek, & Glenn Wolf Leg as well as numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Alfred was pre-deceased by his loving wife Delma Fox, his parents Tom & Annie Fox (nee Many Guns). His siblings Ronald, Priscilla, Josette & Amos Fox, Ethel, Matthew Wolf Leg, & Vincent Mayfield. His maternal aunts/uncles Phil & Tom Many Guns, Mary Bull Bear, Angeline Cut mane, Elizabeth Big Tobacco, Theresa Scalplock, Louise Rabbit Carrier, Rosaria Red Gun, Paternal aunts/uncles Edna Big Tobacco, Jesse Olds, George, William & Jose Fox. Alfred was born at the Indian hospital in Siksika. He grew up in little Chicago where he lived with his mother, father and siblings. As Alfred got older, he stayed with his late grandmother, Mary Many Guns (Kiimika) where she lived nearer to the town of Gleichen.  Alfred went to Crowfoot school up to grade 9. Alfred was an artist who liked to draw pictures and play his guitar. He later moved to Calgary where he stayed with his mother Annie. While residing in Calgary, Alfred met late Dorothy Melting Tallow and raised with her, her grandchildren, and eventually separated. In the 1980’s He moved back to Siksika there he met. Delma and married his late wife Delma (Three Suns) Fox on June 27, 1992. They lived in Siksika until her passing and he moved to Strathmore. He remained close to his step children and siblings. Alfred walked everywhere he had to go until his health deescalated. Alfred was a quiet man, who kept to himself. He didn’t really open up unless he felt comfortable with the person. He made it his mission to fix broken down electronic devices, re-construct furniture to his liking. He loved to sit and listen to his old country favorites. He will be missed by many people. He always had a big smile when he met relatives at Walmart, his favourite store. He would say, “that store has everything, I don’t have to go anywhere else”. Alfred is no longer suffering and is now with the angels, his parents and siblings.
Alfred came from the extended family of Many Guns, Fox, Bull Bear, Scalplock, Red Gun, Rabbit Carrier, Big Tobacco, Cutmane & Cutters from Siksika. The Healy, Big Throats, Hindbulls and Hunts from Kainai. The Horn, Fish, Wild Guns, Medicine Bulls from Heart Butte Montana.  Family sincerely apologizes if we have missed anyone.
