Albert Patrick Owl Child

Albert Patrick Owl Child “Uncle Buck” was born April 10, 1938 at the Blackfoot Hospital on Siksika Nation and passed away April 8, 2024 at Siksika Elders Lodge surrounded by loved ones at the age of 85 years. Our father, uncle, grandfather and friend Albert was raised near Cluny at “Siksika South Camp” where he attended residential school and was known as a hard-working man all his life. Albert was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth Owl Child and Paul Spencer Owl Child, several siblings, and other family members. He is survived by his son; Sheldon “DJ” Smith, his brother Joe Patrick; grandchildren, Myles Scout, Michael (Chalaine) Peacemaker, Elden Sun Walk, Lisa (Brennan) and Jason Sun Walk as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
