BEAR HAT - Eric Bear Hat was born January 8, 1962. He passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. He leaves behind his wife Sharon McMaster, children; Scott Stimson, Kayla (Lisa Spotted Eagle), Lailan Bear Hat, grandchildren; Aspen Stimson, Mythias Edwards, Jenson Sweetgrass; siblings, Rick Bear Hat, Leon Bear Hat, Ramona Low Horn, Leonard Good Eagle (Ann Marie), Alona (Bernie), Pat Bear Hat, Rick Lighting (Marion Bear Hat), Wesley McMaster and family, Jennifer Red Crow and family; adopted sons Lee McMaster, adopted brothers Mike Sweetgrass SR - Stan Hairy Bull-Rick, Rick Lightning, adopted sister Karry McMaster and extended Family, nephews; Jr. Leon Bear Hat, Taz Sunwalk, Rex Sunwalk, Adam Edwards, nieces; Leah Sunwalk, Janelle Sunwalk, Katherine McMaster (Ronald Deschamps), Clara McMaster, Hand Game Family throughout Canada. He was predeceased by Pat & Alfreda Bear Hat (Parents) Leona Royal, Floyd Royal, Frank Royal, Darryl Royal, Harvey Royal, Rhoda Bear Hat, Liberty Bear Hat, beloved son Kyfer Bear Hat, nephew Leslie Sunwalk and his beloved daughter Shirley Good Eagle, Cuddles - pet dog and loved his Baby Girl McMaster – pet dog. He enjoyed watching Calgary Flames and loved ACDC music, Stampede, wrestling, Hand Games with beloved wife and he liked to tease with a straight face and giving out nicknames to people he met. He cherished his family and friends and loved to travel to different Hand Game tournaments and made many friends. The family wishes to acknowledge extended families Eagle Ribs, Running Rabbits, Little Lights. The family apologizes for anyone we may have missed.
Wake Services will be held at 6 pm on Thursday, Nov. 28 at Gordon Yellowfly Memorial Arbour. Funeral Service to follow at the Arbour on Friday at 1 pm.
