Allan Martin Reinson passed away peacefully December 9, 2019 in the Brooks Hospital ( Long Term Care unit) at the age of 70 years old. He was born in Melville, Sask on December 18, 1948
Allan and his wife Diane moved to Calgary, Ab in 1971 where he started his business with a high school friend Laurie Hague. They developed a carpentry business " Fre-Mart Homes" and worked in Calgary as well as Morley AB, where they started building homes. When the boom of new housing started in Brooks, AB he packed up his family (wife Diane and son Travis ) and moved to Brooks in 1974. Allan and his partner continued building homes as well as cement work, cutting, roofing, and eavestroughing until Allan became ill this past year. A combination of Parkinson's Disease, Lewy Body Dementia and Asper Pneumonia which gradually took his life.
Allan leaves behind his wife Diane, son Travis and two grandsons Cole and Tyler Reinson. A brother, Dave ( Linette ) Reinson of Vancouver BC; sisters Edith ( Dee dee) Smith of Melville, Sask and Marjorie ( Stan) Frank of Regina, Sask; brother in laws Clifford Sawa and Gordon Sawa both of Regina, Sask; a sister in law Joyce Turner of Kamloops BC, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Along with the many friends he made along the way in Brooks and surrounding areas.
Allan was predeceased by his parents, mother Edith Reinson and father August Reinson as well as a sister Beulah Gurin.
Allan will be remembered as having a kind, gentle soul and everywhere he went people fell in love with him. He was always joking, had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. Allan worked continuously, there wasn't a day that he was not swinging a hammer, cutting wood, repairing his rentals or just being busy doing what he loved. He would periodically stop for special occasions, but even then was for a short while.
As per Allans' wishes there will be no funeral service. Cremation will be provided by Thom's Funeral Home in Duchess, AB. At the request of the family, donations can be made for research to Parkinson's Disease and Dementia
